Puerto Vallarta ended up being one of those trips that just felt right from the start. It had the perfect mix of relaxing, exploring, and truly memorable experiences. From staying at a beautiful resort to seeing the culture of the city and getting out on the water, every day felt different in the best way.
Where We Stayed: Secrets Bahia Mita Surf & Spa Resort
We stayed at Secrets Bahia Mita, an adults-only all-inclusive resort just outside of Puerto Vallarta. It was peaceful, modern, and had some of the best ocean views we have ever seen. The resort felt luxurious without being stuffy, which made it easy to truly relax.
The pools overlooked the ocean, the food options were plentiful, and everything felt easy. It was the kind of place where you can spend the whole day doing nothing or use it as a home base for excursions without feeling rushed.
Exploring the City: Puerto Vallarta City Tour
Taking a city tour helped us really understand the heart of Puerto Vallarta. Walking along the Malecón, seeing historic landmarks, and learning more about the city’s story added so much depth to the trip.
We visited the Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe, explored local shops, and saw beautiful viewpoints overlooking the bay. Puerto Vallarta felt colorful, lively, and welcoming everywhere we went.
Tequila Factory Tour: A Must-Do Experience
One of our favorite daytime activities was the tequila factory tour. We learned how tequila is made from start to finish and got to see the process up close. It was interesting, fun, and surprisingly educational.
Of course, the tastings were a highlight, and it gave us a whole new appreciation for the craftsmanship behind tequila. It was a great way to experience a true piece of Mexican culture.
Rhythms of the Night: A Truly Magical Evening
Rhythms of the Night was hands down one of the most unforgettable parts of the trip. After a sunset boat ride across the bay, we arrived at a secluded beach for an incredible performance filled with music, acrobatics, fire, and storytelling.
The entire experience felt intimate and immersive, and it was something completely different from anything else we had done before. If you are visiting Puerto Vallarta, this excursion is absolutely worth it.
Islas Marietas Tour: An Ocean Adventure
The Islas Marietas tour was the perfect mix of adventure and natural beauty. Being out on the water, seeing the unique rock formations, and snorkeling in clear blue water made this experience feel really special.
This tour felt more adventurous and exclusive and was perfect for anyone who loves the ocean and wants to see a more untouched side of the area.
